“Delaware Bay During the American Revolution” Lecture & Genealogy Assistance Event Announced – Friday, May 16 at 10:00 a.m. at the Lewes Public Library History enthusiasts and local residents are invited to a special presentation, “Delaware Bay During the American Revolution,” on Friday, May 16 at 10:00 a.m. at the Lewes Public Library. The featured speaker, William Manthorpe, is a Lewes resident, Trustee of Historic Lewes, and a retired Naval Officer and Senior Government Civilian Executive. Following his distinguished military and federal service career, Mr. Manthorpe taught graduate-level courses at Johns Hopkins University and several military colleges in the Washington, D.C. area. Since relocating full-time to the Cape Region in 1998, he has dedicated his time to researching, writing, and speaking about Delaware’s rich naval heritage.
