The festival’s mission is to bring acclaimed songwriters and musicians from creative hubs such as Nashville, New York, Philadelphia, Los Angeles, as well as local songwriters to Delaware’s beach towns for intimate performances and one-of-a-kind fan experiences. Unlike traditional concerts, attendees will have the chance to get up close and personal with the artists—hearing not only their songs, but also the stories behind them, their journeys through the music industry, and the inspiration behind their songwriting process. The festival will kick off Thursday, Sept. 10, at 6 p.m. in Lewes at The Dogfish INN with a fireside songwriters chat hosted by Dogfish Head Brewer & Founder, Sam Calagione. Friday, Sept. 11, brings three shows: Dogfish Head’s Milton Brewery will host a Writers Round Happy Hour (4–6 p.m.); The Room at Cedar Grove will host Nashville songwriters Shawn Lacy and Crystal Rose (both Rolling Stone Artists to Watch); and the Rockin the Docks Stage will feature West Virginia’s Davisson Brothers Band & Friends. Opening acts begin at 7 p.m. Bus service will be available. The afterparty takes place at The Coastal Taproom at 9:30 p.m. featuring E.G. Vines and festival songwriters. Saturday, Sept. 12, Dogfish Head’s Milton Brewery will host two writers rounds between 2 and 5 p.m. Adam Weiner (Low Cut Connie) performs at The Room at Cedar Grove with doors at 6 p.m. The late-show afterparty begins at 9:30 p.m. at The Coastal Tap Room featuring Lombardy. Sept. 13 ,Lewes Ferry Grounds at the Cape May-Lewes Ferry terminal (43 Cape Henlopen Drive, Lewes) at 6 p.m. (with doors opening for VIP at 4:30 p.m., with VIP entry at 5 p.m.) for a concert by G.
