📢 STEM Spotlight Series: Satellites and the Secrets of Planet Earth Friday, May 22, 10:30 a.m. to noon Join us for an exciting installment of our STEM Spotlight Series as we journey into the incredible world of NASA’s Earth‑observing satellites. From tracking melting ice and mapping forests to monitoring ocean health and measuring sea‑level rise, these satellites give us a front‑row seat to the dynamic planet we call home. In this special session, we’re thrilled to welcome Brian Campbell, a NASA Earth Science Specialist and outreach lead, who brings Earth science to life with stories, visuals, and insights from real satellite missions. Brian will guide us through how NASA uses cutting‑edge technology — lasers, sensors, and orbiting observatories — to better understand our changing world

Sunshine & Margaritas Memorial Day Weekend Friday, May 22 5:30 - 8:30 pm Historic Ker Place on the lawn 69 Market St. Onancock, VA BYO chair & blanket FREE concert featuring ESVA favorite The Rhythm Section and delicious food from El Piscachin and Eastern Shore Catering food trucks

The country's longest-running powerboat races happen right here in Dorchester County! This will be the 114th Cambridge Classic Powerboat Regatta on the Choptank River. About 60 boats are expected to be on hand to create an exciting two days of racing. Admission is FREE with a $5 a day donation for parking. Kid's Zone, food, and drinks will be available. The races happen on Hambrooks Bay off the Choptank River in Cambridge, Maryland. Watch on land on bleachers at Gerry Boyle Park at Great Marsh. Spectators can also watch the Cambridge Classic from their own boats on the water. The fleet will raft at Rooster Point. A no-wake zone will be established from Howell Point to the Choptank River Bridge.

The parade features over 50 exhibits including military and veteran groups, classic cars, and more! The parade is in remembrance of those who gave the ultimate sacrifice for our freedoms and values. Come honor them by joining this patriotic event. There will be a gathering with food & music immediately after the parade on the Classic Motor Museum campus on Marengo Street in St. Michaels.

Layton's Chance throws an all-day birthday bash packed with family fun, live music, and unforgettable vineyard vibes on May 23 from 12 to 9pm. The fun includes bounce house and tractor rides for the kids (and kids at heart), birthday cake and cupcakes, sale on their most popular wines, live music (Eric Weldon 1-4pm; Mike Hines & the Look 6-9pm). Plus two food trucks. Tickets cost $20 per person – includes access to all day and night festivities!
