Screen painting is a unique folk art that started in Baltimore in 1913. Join master screen painter John Iampieri in CBMM's Van Lennep Auditorium to experience this distinctive artform, creating your own framed screen painting to take home. This hands-on workshop is generously supported by the Upper Shore Regional Folklife Center. About the instructor: Owner of Bella Designs in Bishopville, Md., Iampieri has been hand painting screens for businesses and homes for decades. Influenced by the traditional methods of Baltimore screen painters, his work has been exhibited throughout the United States from Hawaii to Key West to Canada.
