Log Canoe Racing

For more than a century, log canoe racing has been the heartbeat of Chesapeake Bay summers — a breathtaking display of skill, teamwork, and heritage. These graceful wooden boats, steeped in Eastern Shore tradition, carry forward a legacy unlike any other on the water. Most races begin at the Miles River Yacht Club (membership required), and can be viewed at locations throughout St. Michaels, including the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum.
