Celebrate Migratory Bird Day Weekend with a guided bird walk along Swan Cove and the Assateague Beach. We’ll look for shorebirds, like this striking American Oystercatcher. Its bright orange bill is perfect for shucking oysters. Sponsored by: U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service, National Park Service, Eastern Shore Master Naturalists Newcomers to birding welcome. Binoculars available. Expect to walk at least a mile on uneven terrain. Bring water & bug spray. Meet at Toms Cove Naturalist Shack in Parking Lot 1 (end of Beach Road)
