Expect sing-alongs and timeless cuts inspired by artists like Luther Vandross, Anita Baker, Earth, Wind & Fire, and Chaka Khan (plus plenty more legends). While you're vibing upstairs, 97.5FM DJ Big Mark will be rocking the dance area on the lower level with nonstop crowd-pleasers and feel-good throwbacks. Earlier in the day, Madame Dutchess will be setting the Old School vibe on stage and Hurricane Hazel will be providing crab-picking demos during the feast portion—perfect for first-timers and pros. On the boat there will be two levels of DJ’d music by 97.5FM DJ -Big Mark and DJ Madame Dutchess spinning the R&B/Hip Hop anthems of the 80s, 90s and beyond. -Crab-Picking Demos: Learn from the best! 16-time world champ, Hurricane Hazel, will show you how to pick crabs like a pro. She’s fast and witty, so lean in for a quick story and speedy crab picking lesson from a local legend. -Sunset Party Cruise (optional): After the feast, we'll head to the boat to set sail just before sunset toward Tangier Island. The upper deck is a floating dance party and will seat the VIP upgrades under the stars with a DJ and emcee while music plays throughout on both levels. The cruise portion of the event is for ages 21 and over. Join us on the upper or lower deck for beautiful views during our sunset cruise along the Tangier Sound.
