DESCRIPTION:Saturday\, September 26th is National Public Lands Day and to celebrate we are having a Virginia District Beach Clean Cp. Join Assateague Island National Seashore and the Chincoteague National Wildlife Refuge to help clean up the island. This cleanup will take place from 9 am to 12 pm and entrance fees apply. In the Virginia District: · Check-in at the beach at lot #1\, the Wildlife Loop or the Bateman Visitor Center. · No pets allowed in the Virginia District\, not even in your car. All volunteers are reminded to bring sunscreen\, insect repellant and water. A limited number of gloves and trash bags will be provided.
