DESCRIPTION:Please join us at 5:00pm in the Selections Gallery for an opening reception\, followed by an artist talk at 6:00pm in the Performing Arts room\, where Lisa will discuss her work traveling along the U.S-Mexico border\, documenting her experiences through photography\, and volunteering with humanitarian aid organizations. The resulting exhibition\, Promised Land / Tierra Prometida\, is a body of work inspired by and in contrast to the visual culture and discourse circulating about immigration in mainstream news.
