On this special evening, a horse & rider will present a copy of the Declaration of Independence during the June 3rd First Friday Community Event and the document will be read aloud by 25 members of our Lewes community — a very special 250 Independence Day First Friday! These community events are held each month from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. The Sussex Tavern offers colonial-inspired beverages, and visit the Lewistown Coffee-house for a taste of the Revolution. B rowse the Historic Lewes Antique Shop, listen to live music, take a tour, and enjoy stories from bygone times…all in the beautiful setting of our Historic Lewes Town Campus. Our community nights are FREE to attend!
